honeymoon in hangzhou

Peng Cheng and Yang Qian's Excellent Adventure

In May, 2004, two of my best friends from Jinzhou were married: Peng Cheng and Yang Qian.  I flew back to Jinzhou for the wedding. It was great seeing all my old Jinzhou friends. You can read about it in chapter 15 and chapter 16.

After the wedding, they decided to spend their honeymoon in Hangzhou. I flew back to Hangzhou and a few days later, Peng Cheng and Yang Qian flew to Shanghai and then came to Hangzhou by bus. It was their first time to come to Hangzhou. In fact, it was their first time travel south of BEIJING!

They originally planned to stay a couple of days in hangzhou and then hit some other scenic spots in this area of China like Huang Shan (Yellow Mountain) and Suzhou and then head back to Shanghai for a few days of shopping.

But once they saw Hangzhou, they loved it. So different from Jinzhou, it was lush, green, warm, relaxing with lots to do and see. Yang Qian, especially, fell in love with the place. She didn't want to go back. They ended up extending their stay in Hangzhou for a few extra days and then went back to Shanghai for a day of shopping before heading back to Jinzhou.

Peng Cheng created a short, 5 minute video of their time in Hangzhou (complete with music) starring his beautiful wife, Yang Qian. Yours truly makes a few cameo appearances.

It's a nice video and it also accurately depicts the place where I live - Hangzhou.
