I first came to China in February, 1998. Jinzhou was my "first Chinese home". Jinzhou is situated in Liaoning Province. For those westerners who are clueless about China, Liaoning is in the area known as "DongBei" -Northeast China. For those westerners who are both clueless and still living in the past, this area was once known as Manchuria. Believe me, that past has completely faded away here.

From February, 1998 to January, 1999, I taught at Jinzhou Teachers' College (a/k/a Jinzhou Normal University and, now, Bo Hai University).

After spending a year in beautiful Suzhou, I returned again to Jinzhou in February 2000 and lived and taught there for another three semesters.

In two and a half years living in Jinzhou, I taught many students, made many friends, and had many good times.
