Baseball English

When Americans talk to each other, they often use a lot of sports idioms - especially from their national pastime:
Baseball!

Quick! What do these mean?:

"You hit a home run today!"
"You hit a grand slam!"
"You struck out"
I'm going to throw you a fastball"
"He threw me a curve"
"You have two strikes against you"
"It's the bottom of the ninth"
"He's out in right field"
ETC..

Well, these students can tell you. Why? Because I gave them my Baseball Lesson.
But of course, you can't really understand Baseball or it's idioms unless you play the game.
So on a cold December morning a week after the Baseball Lesson,
we went out on the new turf soccer field here at Zhejiang University and actually played.
Here's the proof:

Play Ball!
